END IT NOW (¡Acabemos con esto ya!)

END IT NOW

By Robert Soto, enditnow Area Director

THERE IS AN URGENT CALL FOR ACTION. Every day thousands of innocent people around the world, many of them children, experience horrific forms of abuse including human trafficking, domestic/intimate partner abuse, and bullying. This terrifying epidemic is gaining momentum and has begun to infect our communities.

enditnow is a global initiative developed to increase personal awareness, responsibility, and involvement to effectively advocate for the end of human trafficking, abuse, and every form of violence. This campaign invites everyone, city leaders, first responders, businesses, and community groups to join in to resolve this worldwide issue.

enditnow strives to unite communities by bringing a positive proactive message of awareness, education, prevention, love, and hope. Being aware and prepared can help safeguard the loving, safe home, community, and life every person deserves.

enditnow Family Day is a FREE family awareness event, held annually on the 4th Saturday in August. The opening ceremony is at 10am followed  by free family activities all day, including, live music, door prizes, health checks, safety fingerprinting, bounce house, petting zoo, a community picnic, ice-cold lemonade, and the annual “Love Shouldn’t Hurt” March to end violence. The enditnow 7th Annual Mobile / Baldwin County Family Day will be held on August, 23, 2025 from 10am-4pm at Cathedral Square in Mobile, AL. Everyone is welcome!

enditnow Family Day is about creating safe spaces, making positive connections, and helping people live longer, healthier lives. Throughout the day, presenters will be sharing their knowledge and experiences, as they speak about important topics (NOTE: ALL speeches are presented in a positive, family friendly way and are suitable for everyone.). enditnow Family Day guests will have the opportunity to speak with representatives from law enforcement, shelters, and community organizations and have access to important literature and other resources dealing with topics about human trafficking, how to recognize the signs of abuse, overcoming addiction, and more. Additionally, there will be many civic and community groups present (for adults and children) with information on how to join and participate in their positive programs.

enditnow Family Day brings a message of awareness, education, love, and hope. We hope to provide every person, especially the children, with the necessary information to let them know how important they are, that they are not alone, and that they are loved.

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Our efforts can only reach maximum effectiveness with the backing of the entire community and its leadership. It is important for everyone to get involved. The connections made at enditnow Family Day create a unique opportunity where each person – men, women, and children, will actively work to create awareness and share solutions on ways to end this global problem. In the end, we will remember NOT the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends. -Martin Luther King, Jr.

Together we have a loud voice. Together we are stronger. Together we can enditnow.
