On behalf of Okaloosa County School District Superintendent Marcus Chambers and the Career and Technical Education Department, the Okaloosa County School District invites members of the media to attend and cover its 7th Annual Career and Technical Education (CTE) Signing Day Celebration. The event will be held on Wednesday, April 15, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center, located at 100 E College Boulevard in Niceville. Mel Ponder, President of Northwest Florida State College, will serve as the keynote speaker.

OCSD proudly honors Career and Technical Education seniors during this Letter Signing Ceremony as they formally commit to their next chapter, whether entering the workforce, continuing their education, or serving in the military. The event highlights the meaningful, real-world pathways CTE programs provide and the strong partnerships that help prepare students for success beyond graduation. Students will be joined by their families, friends, district leaders, educators, and community and industry partners who have supported them throughout their educational journey. Together, we will celebrate these seniors for their dedication, skills, and readiness to contribute to our local workforce and community.

Media are encouraged to attend to capture student signings, interviews, and photos that showcase the impact of Career and Technical Education across Okaloosa County. For additional information or to RSVP, please get in touch with Catherine Card at [email protected].
