UNITING the CommUNITY for the Children!

By David Triana

On behalf of the leadership and volunteers of United for a Good Cause Inc., I take this opportunity to thank our generous commUNITY for their support in 2025!

This past December, our organization closed out the year with our 21ST Anniversary of the Emerald Coast Christmas Miracle Fiesta on 21 December and then, the day before Christmas, we took care of the families who could not attend our fiesta, by delivering toys to them as part of the 13TH Annual Santa’s 4-County Sleigh Ride.

These two charity signature events have become hugely popular and were a huge success again this year by serving over 1,500 children and families from throughout the region.

The children and families had a wonderful time enjoying the musical entertainment, dance contests for brand new bikes and visiting the activity tables or organizations like the Advanced Sacred Hope Academy, Bikers Against Child Abuse, the Early Learning Coalition, the International Brotherhood of Magicians Ring 284 and others.

A huge thanks to Toys for Tots of the Emerald Coast for donating more than 600 toys towards the Fiesta and to the Salvation Army for their donation of bikes and toys and to the Bikes or Bust program for the dozens of new bikes they donated.

During the Santa Run, organization volunteers delivered toys to various homes as far away as Crestview, Milton, and Pensacola.

During the year, U4aGC hosted a Teen Suicide Prevention Awareness event with Emma Benoit, a nationally renowned speaker, and we also brought Michelle Sierra, a coaching expert who spoke to at a local school to parents of English Language Learner (ELL) students from the Okaloosa County School District.

The leadership of the organization looks forward to 2026 with a primary objective of continuing to partner with other organizations that support the region’s youth and UNITING the CommUNITY for the children!

We thank our sponsors and supporters for 2025, which included:  Eglin Federal Credit Union, Cox, Florida Power and Light, The Shops at Wright Plaza, Tier One Media, MidSouth Bank, Natural Awakenings Magazine, Life Media, Omni Broadcasting, JVC Broadcasting, Sabor a Mexico, El Torreonense, Taco Bravo, Krispy Kreme FWB, OkaloosaYummies, Supermarket Mi Gente, Dunkin Donuts, Culver’s Navarre, Tienda La Mexicana Destin, Vilma Bawkin, Dipping Dots, Little Caesars, Bambinos, Soul Café and Lounge and our longtime supporter Chris Sehman of Helen Back!
