Grateful

Grateful

By Silvia Carcamo

We live our lives so fast, that we would like to just race and be able to be professionals, and we would like to have the most beautiful house, the best car, have the best family, and the years go by and time goes by and by looking for more and more oh for wanting to be better than someone else, we lose the opportunity of the pleasure of enjoying and with gratitude give thanks for each stage of our lives. We often find ourselves wanting to accomplish all of these goals, but we really are happy, that should be our question, am I enjoying what I’m doing

And I’m pretty sure that one of the biggest problems we have is not giving thanks. We honestly forget that giving thanks and being grateful is not only when everything is going well, but also on the occasions when we are also doing badly. Unfortunately, we have associated something going on wrong like not having enough money or we don’t have the house of our dreams yet , with many feelings of negativism, sadness, loneliness and isolation and that makes us focus on what we don’t have and unfocused we don’t see everything we do have and  how blessed we are.

So often we tend to forget to be grateful to God for life, for the daily opportunity to start over, the Bible has taught us in many of its verses and stories to give thanks as in

 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Give thanks in everything, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Being grateful is an attitude that is given daily to value the positive, improving mental health and relationships. One of the most important things that I have learned over the course of my life teaching other people and learning it for my own life and my family is to practice gratitude,

Yes, practicing gratitude improves your mood, strengthens all the different relationships we have in our lives, whether it is work, family, your friends, with your children in your marriage and even in your professional life, it helps you face challenges with a more positive perspective…

I have found that one of the keys to being able to have a better life, more full of peace, more full of mental health, which also brings you physical health, is constancy and authenticity, in the recognition that you know when you did well, when you did badly, but still have the courage to wake up every day thanking God,  Because even if something has not gone well for us, he gives us the opportunity to be able to move forward, to be grateful for the air, for life, to be grateful for this beautiful world, to be grateful that if you are reading this today, it is because you are a different person and I am sure that you are a wonderful person,  and that you will seek to be more grateful and feel blessed, to feel the victory of each day.

Ways to practice gratitude:

*Let your first thought be to give thanks to God.

*Practice reading and writing and write 3 to 5 things to be thankful for that day.

*Asking for forgiveness and forgiving is also an act of gratitude, you are releasing internal pains that cleanse your heart.

* Change your perspective, focus on the positive, and give thanks for each process.

It is moments of progress, of new conquests, of short- and long-term goals, remember that each process is a sign that is marked in your life, take the good and discard the bad from everything.

Never stop smiling—God loves us.
