December 8, 2026 was a joyous day for local U.S Marine veteran Brian Johnson, his wife and their 8-year-old son.  FPL worked with his wife and K9s For Warriors to honor him and say thank you for his service.

Brian served his country faithfully in the and has since dedicated himself to helping others by becoming a peer-to-peer counselor with K9s For Warriors with his service dog, Homer.

FPL volunteers decorated their front yard with LED’s, solar-powered lights and other energy-efficient décor transforming it into an energy-efficient holiday wonderland.

An annual festive tradition, this celebration marks the 18th consecutive year of FPL’s holiday program, which gives back to local heroes for their incredible commitment to the nation and their community.
