Celebrating ten years of achievements since its inception, this event combines the sophistication of Havana’s nightlife during the Full Moon with live performances, a gourmet dinner, and exclusive experiences, seeking to raise awareness about El Vuelo de la Cometa (The Flight of the Kite), the flagship program of the Ismael Cala Foundation. This program empowers young people from vulnerable backgrounds with tools for emotional intelligence, conscious leadership, and effective communication, seeking to instill confidence, resilience, and real opportunities for a brighter future.
The Legacy of Light Gala is a high-impact event that brings together benefactors, cultural figures, and community leaders committed to social transformation. The occasion offers a space to connect, inspire, and translate empathy into concrete action, amplifying not only the reach of The Flight of the Kite to more countries, but also the opportunity—by 2026—to implement the program in its Virtual Parents format. This program aims to provide parents and caregivers with practical emotional intelligence tools to improve their relationships with their children, create safe spaces, and foster empathy, resilience, and conscious communication, as well as strengthen the family unit and emotional leadership in adolescents ages 11 to 18. This program will consolidate the ICF Research and Development Unit dedicated to measuring impact, evaluating pedagogical tools, and generating innovations in emotional intelligence and leadership for young people.
