April 1, 2020: In partnership with Tallahassee-based B-EZ Graphix and the Big Bend Minority Chamber of Commerce, along with the Pensacola-based Gulf Coast Minority Chamber of Commerce, Conexión Media Group (CMG) hosted our first ZOOM Virtual Business Networking Social.
More than 50 business owners, entrepreneurs, and area leaders joined. The event included a presentation by Mr. Keith Bowers from the Florida A & AM Small Business Development Center about loan program opportunities related to COVID-19. Rudy Saez of La Buena Tally provided musical entertainment during scheduled breaks and several door prizes were donated by clients of CMG and by some of our Featured Businesses.
As long as the Social Distancing guidelines continue in effect, CMG will conduct virtual events in partnership with other companies or individuals. The events will include Informational/Educational Seminars, Chats and Workshops, and event musical concerts!
Our next activity is a music concert called ¡ESTAMOS en esto JUNTOS – Latinos por una buena causa!
The concerts will feature popular regional singers and duets from the region and are scheduled for April 10 and 11 from 8pm – 10pm Eastern Time via Facebook. These concerts will raise funds to benefit the Azalea City Threads of Hope. A project based in the Mobile, Alabama area, that consists of volunteers sewing face masks they donate to medical personnel and staff in hospitals and other facilities. Scheduled to perform during the concerts are popular area singers Vilmarie and Rey of the group Zona Libre, Paula Sofia Gomez and Cesar Boza, Jose Fermin Ceballos, and Elio Delgado.
