City of Destin to Host Annual Arbor Day Celebration

Destin, Fla. – The City of Destin will hold its Annual Arbor Day celebration at the Nancy Weidenhammer Dog Park, located at 4100 Indian Bayou Trail on Thursday, April 29th, 2021, at 10 a.m. The event will include remarks from Mayor Gary Jarvis and special guest speaker Aubrey Santucci with Coastline Tree Service. Members of the Destin City Council, the Destin Parks and Recreation Committee, Destin Chamber of Commerce Destin Forward Class of 2021 and Noah’s Ark Pre-School will be participating in the tree dedication. Thank you to members of Compass Resorts, the Destin Chamber of Commerce Destin Forward Class of 2021, and Trees on the Coast, for their generosity in donating the trees this year. Additionally, the City of Destin has been named a Tree City USA community by The National Arbor Day Foundation to honor its commitment to urban forestry. This is the 19th year Destin has received this national recognition.
