A bit about Conexión Media Group

By David Triana

I am writing this editorial after attending the Nothing but Networking event of the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce.  It is a beautiful afternoon and we had a great time networking at the Emerald Coast Science Center with over 50 people in attendance and some delicious food by La Famiglia, the food sponsor for the event.

Networking is one of the most important things that anyone can do when you are either involved in business or are in the non-profit world.  MAKING CONNECTIONS with other entrepreneurs and area leaders is critical to your success and something I highly recommend to anyone that wants to have success in business.

This is also the reason that we, Conexión Media Group, created the Hispanics and Friends LINKed (HFL) Networking Group.  As far as we know, we are the only Hispanic entity that conducts networking events/socials, similar to what the established chambers of commerce do.  Most of our HFLs have been quite successful and only this year, we’ve had them in Pensacola, Fort Walton Beach, and recently in Pensacola Beach.  You can find great pictures of our events in our Hispanics and Friends LINKed group in Facebook.  Our next event (see ad in this edition) will take place at Chuy’s Gourmet Ice Pops & More, which is owned by Jazmina (Venezuelan) and serves some of the tastiest “paletas” I’ve ever had.  I hope you will join us.

I invite you also to read the blurb about our most recent accomplishment, the INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL Fort Walton Beach, which we planned, organized and executed just this past Sunday, May 6th!  It was a great success and we look forward to doing the 2nd one in April 2019.
