¿Que es Happiness?

By Bohemian Babushka

HolaHolaHola Beautifuls! On July 4th, Babushka shared the following quote: “Our greatest happiness does not depend on the condition of life in which chance has placed us, but is always the result of a good conscience, good health, occupation, and freedom in all just pursuits.” Buenisimo verdad? What a great definition of happiness, and what a wonderful way to start thinking of freedom and how blessed one is.

Let’s study this paso por paso. “Happiness does not depend on the condition of life in which chance has placed us.” Wow and woah. So we can be happy in humble homes? Ambiente doesn’t dictate Amor a la vida? Simple situations and surroundings can still be places of salvation? JU SO FONII!!! Pero of course, and por supuesto.

Happiness, “is the result of a good conscience” . Obviously if you’re always looking around because you may be caught doing something you shouldn’t, or you can’t shake the uneasy guilt because of something you’ve done, no hay felicidad. That can rob and strain the next part of the quote, “Good Health”.  We all know the saying, “Sin salud no hay nada.” “There is nothing without health.” Babushka is sure that many of you have been aware of this truth either about yourselves or a loved one. You would do and pay anything to be in good health.

Next, one’s occupation. Unfortunately, many moan about their job. The wages, the commute, the coworkers, the boss, or the empleo itself, It’s not what they imagined they’d be doing with their lives. Bueno Beautifuls, what did you see yourself doing with your life? Continue with the quote and seek happiness, because there is “freedom in all just pursuits.” Are you striving towards a just pursuit? Do you have a vision,  a longing to be doing something else? Your future and freedom is there.

Happiness is  a matter of observation, realization and dedication , and only by being honest and true to oneself will we find our felicidad. Acknowledge what is and what you are willing to change to make it better, yet never forgetting to be grateful for what you have. Freedom of thought, there can be no greater happiness.

Enjoy your freedom Beautifuls.  Cuidensen.
