PRÓSPEROS – Together, we will all prosper!

PRÓSPEROS – Together, we will all prosper!

Prósperos was co-founded by Salvador “Chava” Chavez and Vinay Pai.  It was born from a need they had seen and personally experienced.

Vinay and his family have volunteered with nonprofits that help farm workers in California and rural communities in Mexico, Nicaragua and Honduras. They have seen hardworking families, often working multiple jobs, provide for their families in the USA and help their families in Mexico, Central America and South America.

Prósperos is even more personal for Chava. His father started working in the fields picking strawberries and peaches, then moved to landscaping and finally construction. With each step, he earned more money and was able to build a home for his family in California while taking care of his extended family in Mexico. But through all those years of hard work, he was unable to access the modern banking system, and instead paid fees for cashing checks and sending money to his family.

This is a common experience for the 62M Latinos in the USA. They provide for their families here and in Latin America. However, many do not have access to the modern financial system, and, as a result, they must pay high fees for check cashing and sending money to their families. And in a cash-based system, they fall victim to robbers and loan sharks.

Vinay and Chava knew there must be a better way to solve this decades-old problem, and they drew on their experience delivering financial solutions to businesses. They had worked together as technology executives in a fintech company that they helped take public at the NYSE in 2019. Their financial solution helped small businesses pay their vendors, get paid by their customers and manage their expenses through technology that was modern, efficient and affordable.

Vinay and Chava are joined by 2 other technology executives, Sangam Singh and Netsai Massetti. This team has worked together for over 4 years and helped take their previous fintech startup public in 2019. And like a championship sports team, they trust each other, play to each other’s strengths, are unselfish about passing the ball, and know when to take the shot. And they have hoisted that trophy multiple times. They know how to get the job done and have built many successful businesses.

Prósperos leverages modern financial technology with a vision of delivering a simple, convenient mobile financial platform to the 400M Latinos in the Western hemisphere. Say goodbye to fees for cashing checks and sending money. And say hello to a platform that allows you to build a prosperous financial future for your family.
