PENSACOLA AMERICAN LEGION POST 193 Veterans Entrepreneurial Workshop

Gary Reynolds, Post Service Officer – Post 193:  “Wednesday, January 29 Post 193 hosted a Veterans Entrepreneurial Workshop – “So You Want To Be An Entrepreneur” – as the first of an ongoing series of training, networking and outreach programs that are crafted to be more relevant to Veterans from more recent years – there were 23 attendees in this first meeting!”   Reynolds went on to say that this January kick-off was made possible by partnering with the University of West Florida Military & Veterans Resource Center. 

Veterans Entrepreneurial Workshop

Recent Past-Commander, Robbie Gregg:  “Bob Foster, the Program Coordinator for the UWF-MVRC Veterans Florida Entrepreneurial Training Program (VFEP), has offered to provide a series of Sessions – some VFEP-related, and others from the Private Business Sectors —  that will be of high interest to both the newer generation of Veterans, as well as to our existing Post Members.  We will be announcing our next event in early February.”

Foster – Founder

Foster, a Serial Entrepreneur who has Founded and Co-Founded more than a dozen companies, and has authored as many patents, has a 50-year background that spans from opening Mom-and-Pop Shops, to holding Executive Positions in a Fortune 500 corporation.  Foster, a Member of Post 193, served in the US Army Reserves out of Pensacola from 1965 to 1971 and is President of the Association of the US Army-Emerald Coast.  Future Sessions include:  Raising Capital, Boot Strapping, Developing a Dynamic Memory, Finding – and Keeping a Job, Public Speaking, Protecting Your Intellectual Property, Guerrilla Marketing, Finding Your Passion, Self-Defense for Adults, Bartering Your Way to Success, Stress Management, and many others.
