CareerSource Escarosa, while remaining closed to the public, has drop boxes at both the Pensacola and Milton Career Centers where claimants can drop off their applications if they don’t want to mail them directly to the address DEO has on the form.

We will collect and mail documents daily from those boxes.

Instruction from DEO yesterday is there is no documentation needed other than this form, so no copies of personal ID is needed.

Once claims are received by DEO, claimants will receive a call from a staff person at the state level to verify information as they put claims in the system.

Our staff remains available by phone – Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. till 4:30 p.m. — to help as much as we can for people who run into difficulty with the form. I would ask that we have a little time Monday to familiarize staff with the form itself, since it’s about four pages long. We are answering phones, but also returning calls if people leave messages for us.

We do not have detailed answers about any claimant’s timing of benefits start or whether/how much they will receive.

We are working on a way to print forms and make them available for pick up outside our offices starting next week.

WE ARE STILL HERE TO HELP PEOPLE CONNECT TO NEW JOB OPPORTUNITIES AS WELL.

The CONNECT system continues to experience high volumes of calls, and local staff have very limited access to it but we are still working on that in order to help people reset their PIN.

PATIENCE is still the word of the day. And thank you for your help in getting this information out to our people!

Please follow us on Facebook and Twitter: CareerSource Escarosa — for updates as often as we get them.
