New Beginnings
By Silvia Zuniga C
I know we already know that new beginnings represent opportunities to renew ourselves, grow, and leave the past behind, marking a turning point after endings or significant changes.
We all have different reasons; some may be emotional, spiritual, physical, or due to pain caused by a past wound that has prevented us from moving forward, which is why we usually need new beginnings. The most wonderful thing is that if you are reading this, it is because God has given you a new opportunity to move forward, God has given you the miracle of being alive. His word teaches us in the book of Lamentations 3:22-23 NTV:
22 The faithful love of the Lord never ends!
His mercies never cease.
23 Great is his faithfulness;
His mercies are new every morning.
That’s why I feel that the most important thing about a new beginning is that you make a change within your heart, that we always ask God to help us love ourselves first, because seeing how the world really is, we need love every day… around us there is much evil, many misunderstandings, unscrupulous people, we are surrounded by many cultures, which means many different points of view, and we are all truly in a very beautiful world, but because of the pain and evil that some people cause others daily, the hearts of many are no longer so good, many no longer believe in love, the world has focused on understanding money, on being professionals, on wanting more and more regardless of what they have to do, and that focus makes us stray from the path that God has given us, which is to love one another, and when something doesn’t go well, most people start seeking revenge, or wanting to succeed in not-so-correct ways, and in the end we know that what starts badly in our hearts will end badly over time. God has given us a life manual, which is the Bible, but I believe, based on my experience and observing how we live, that people forget to read their Bibles every day and ask God for guidance. That’s why new beginnings are so important, because every new beginning must start with God.
We are in this beautiful month where what’s important is not just loving someone or ourselves, but demonstrating that love, because a feeling without action is dead. Every new beginning starts with an action; love begins with an action.
We cannot say we have love if we don’t show that love, and remember that if you are reading this, it’s because you are a person who likes to start anew, who likes to be an excellent person, who likes to help others. That means we need love every day.
What is love? I think we’ve been taught that love is an emotion and that it’s only directed towards your partner or family, but love is a complex emotion, feeling, and state that drives connection, commitment, and well-being towards another person, object, or oneself, combining passion, intimacy, and active care.

It goes beyond physical attraction, involving respect, reciprocity, and the shared desire to believe in and support the loved one, to support those in need, an action of connection to have a bond day by day with the world, with our environment.
That’s why every morning has to be a new beginning, a new beginning to show love, to be the one who takes the first step, to be the different person in your house, in your home, in your family, in your circle of friends, in your business, in your work, to be the one who always has a big smile! To be the one who gives that word of encouragement, the one who can help their neighbor, the one in need. God will give you strength every day, because He sees that you want to be different, He will put more love in you. So make the decision every day to love, no matter what is happening around us, let’s love, and in that way we protect our hearts and in the future we will be rewarded, because everything you do with much love, God will return to you with many blessings! 1 John 4:16
16 And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.
Let’s smile, for it is one of the most beautiful gifts God has given us.
