The year 2019 was a very busy one for Kailee Montes, the reigning Miss Camellia in Alabama.  She met with over 5,000 community members to raise awareness of the growing issue of literacy in Alabama.

With her passion for literacy, she especially wants to share her personal story of triumph over dyslexia and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) with as many young people in our region as possible.  On 8 and 9 January, Kailee participated at an event with the Alabama Library Board for Youth Leaders that gave her an opportunity to share her story.

Then, on the 13th, she again spent time with young people at an amazing meeting with the Girl Scouts of Alabama.

“Talking to young people is a very important thing for me and I thoroughly enjoy events where I get an opportunity to do so!”, Kailee stated.

Aside from her extraordinary work on behalf of the region’s youth, Kailee is also an accomplished singer and performer.  She will be one of the main performers at the upcoming Conexion Media Group’s INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL on March, 22 at The Landing in Fort Walton Beach.
