NOTE FROM THE EDITOR: Our “Making a Difference” section is used to acknowledge local, regional and international efforts by individuals who may or may not be “famous”, but, whose unselfishness and worthy causes display the love and caring for others that should be emulated by ALL OF US regardless of race, creed, or nationality!  In this edition, we acknowledge the work of James Rodríguez, an international super Soccer star originally from Colombia, who was the leading scorer in the Brazil 2014 World Cup.  James signed a multi-million dollar contract after the World Cup and now plays for one of the best teams in the world, Real Madrid of “La Liga” in Spain.  James established a foundation run by his mother that is doing great things for Colombia completo youth!

James was top goal scorer of the Brazil 2014 World Cup and is now a star within the considered “best team in the world”, the Real Madrid of the Spanish League.

While James is dedicated 100% to your workouts and matches with the joint ‘merengue’, in his country, the Foundation continues to grow, and Pilar Rubio, the mother of the prominent footballer is at the forefront of all activities.

Colombia are all focuses on enhancing the human capacity to develop skills and talents in any area of knowledge or practice, for it uses a model of intervention that combines the practice of football with experiential learning, which seeks to strengthen what they call as the Vital Capital, comprised of the biological equipment, the scaffolding of cultural and ecological niches of boys and girls at risk of frustration of their talents.

The Foundation expected to expand is by all the country and already serves to hundreds of children!

As it says on its website: “Colombia are everyone is yearning for a country where everyone has right to dream;” Imagine being great athletes, scientists, entrepreneurs, professionals, technicians or any activity that contributes to personal fulfilment and a contribution to be positive for society.”

BY JAMES LOGOIn November 2014, James Rodríguez announced a strategic alliance between its foundation and Colombia are all the Advanced Consortium on Cooperation, Conflict and Complexity ‘AC-4″of the Columbia University of New York.

All are Colombia and AC4-Columbia University will work together to develop methodologies for monitoring and evaluation of programmes, with the objective of maximizing individual and collective impacts of the projects that the Foundation. In addition, the two organizations will collaborate in projects for the training of children and adolescents in leadership and conflict resolution skills.
