GOYA CARES Launches a New Educational Video to Raise Awareness of Young People about Mental Health

JERSEY CITY, NJ , May 13, 2024 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ — Goya Cares , a global initiative dedicated to protecting children from the dangers of child trafficking and raising awareness about prevention and health education mental health, announces the release of her new educational video, #PressPause , in support of Mental Health Awareness Month.

It is essential that we equip young people with the knowledge and tools they need to care for their mental well-being and to support programs focused on education and prevention. The 15-minute video features Sofía Rodríguez, a 15-year-old girl struggling with mental health issues, as well as advice from expert mental health professionals. The moral of the film focuses on the importance of having compassion, standing up for yourself and others, advocating for open communication in families and communities about mental health, and the need for support systems for youth. “Press Pause” highlights the importance of small, kind gestures and the courage to face and talk about personal problems and serves as a reminder of the profound effect that empathy and support can have.
