MISSION:  The mission of the NKF of Florida is to prevent kidney and urinary tract diseases, improve the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by these diseases, and increase the availability of all organs for transplantation.

The NKF of Florida is a vital resource for kidney patients and their families – helping them learn how to cope with the physical and psychological aspects of the disease and providing them with hope for the future.

More than 26 million Americans and thousands right here in the Panhandle have chronic kidney disease.  It is a fast-growing health problem in America. 365,000 depend on dialysis to stay alive and more than 85,000 are waiting for a life-saving transplant. Early detection screenings for at risk people can help turn the tide!

Support the mission of the Kidney Foundation by participating in the upcoming Walk scheduled for April 7th in Fort Walton Beach.

It’s fun. It’s easy. And it will help the one in nine American adults with chronic kidney disease live richer, fuller lives. Bring your friends, family and co-workers and help raise money to support local kidney health education, early detection screenings and kidney research.
