Leadership Academy for Tallahassee Area Professionals Accepting Applications

Tallahassee area professionals, we are now accepting applications for the 2018 Leadership Academy. The 12-month program was developed by Dr. Gabrielle K. Gabrielli and takes a systematic approach to leadership development by providing rigorous curriculum, assessments, coaching, mentoring, and formative and summative evaluation. In addition to classroom-based instruction, leaders remain connected via technology including a website portal, discussion forum, and monthly sessions.

Two cohorts of diverse leaders representing industry, small business, government, nonprofits, and education participate in the Leadership Excellence and Development (LEAD) program of the Leadership Academy of Tallahassee:

– Emerging leaders including young professionals, career changers, and those seeking leadership roles (limited to 7 participants)

– Seasoned leaders including executives, supervisors, and those seeking to leave a legacy of leadership and influence (limited to 5 participants)

Investment in the yearlong comprehensive is $1998 for emerging leaders and $2498 for seasoned leaders. Apply today to join the 2018 Leadership Academy! *Note: the 2017 class is FULL and several applicants were not able to be accepted into the program. Do not delay applying as applicants will have priority consideration in 2018.

The leadership development program enhances leaders’ skills and directly benefits their influence on others, in turn positively impacting the bottom lines of organizations they serve. The Leadership Academy provides meaningful resources and tools leaders take back to their workplaces to shape their careers, innovate within their organizations, and be active participants engaging in meaningful transformation individually, professionally, community-wide, and beyond.

Dr. Gabrielle K. Gabrielli is a graduate and lifetime member of Leadership Tallahassee and saw a need to help develop leadership skills in a systematic way. The Leadership Academy was a 10-year dream of hers that came to fruition in 2013.

The curriculum includes leadership topics ranging from communication to problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, negotiating, resolving conflict, emotional intelligence, motivating difficult people, and building a legacy by developing others. The inaugural class that graduated December 2014 reported a 50% increase in their leadership skills as a result of what they learned! On a 1-10 scale, 10 being the highest, they rated their leadership skills as a 6.2 in the beginning of the academy and a 9.2 after the year of learning. Technology to Help Leaders Stay Connected

– All sessions are streamed live for remote participation.

– All sessions are recorded on a private YouTube channel for viewing if a participant must miss a class or wants to review.
