After running some errands last month, I found myself driving from the DeFuniak Springs to Santa Rosa Beach. As I admired the peacefulness of the waters of Choctawhatchee bay, I found myself hungry. In search for a place to indulge my hunger I came by chance across “NB” North Beach Social.

North Beach Social is a welcoming, charming place located on the water in the Choctawhatchee bay on HWY 331. This charming new restaurant had only been open for five days, when I had the pleasure to stumble in its door. Boasting a marvelous open concept one can choose to seat in their large outdoor space or their indoor space without loosing site of the great view.

What I liked about “NB Social” is that offers a very relaxing atmosphere whether you want to hang out with friends or family. The restaurants sandy beach area also makes a great place to entertain the kids. They offer live music 3 days a week, make sure to check their website for the music schedule. Every night if the weather is nice they also have bonfires.

The food is ordered at a counter and food is brought to your table of choice. On their menu they offer a variety of starter dishes, some salads, variety of sandwiches and a few plates. They also offer a kids menu with a few popular options for the little one. As I ordered my food I could see they were baking a few of their delicious desserts. I tried their raw oysters which tasted pretty fresh, had some yummy Truffle fries, and Fish Tacos which were served with black beans and coconut rice that tasted delicious. For dessert we tried the Pecan Pie stuffed cheesecake, not only it tasted good it also looked great.

They also have a full bar with many variety of beers, wines and cocktails. Make sure to check out their drink specials. Whether you are in the mood for some fun with friends, family or just looking to relax and enjoy some music and drinks with water views North Beach Social might be the place. This is a fun welcoming place with lots of space, good food, desserts and drinks. Don’t forget your sunscreen if you choose to catch some sunrays while enjoying their delicious cocktail …Stay safe & healthy.  Until next time…
