CANDIDATE PROFILE – Wes Fell

David Triana Posted: February 6, 2020

Wes is a 29-year resident of Okaloosa County has filed to run for the District 5 County Commission seat being vacated next year by the Honorable Commissioner Kelly Windes. Wes is a 72-year old USMC veteran, and a local event promoter in this area, with over 45 years business experience.  He promotes the annual Emerald Coast Home and Boat Show at the Emerald Coast Convention Center and other great events.

For nearly 30 years Wes has worked with numerous business, civic, chamber of commerce organizations and community leaders, and promoted many business expos, home shows, health fairs, boat shows, music festivals and other events in this area.  Wes is an advertising sales and marketing professional having worked with over 1500 business owners, chamber, TDC directors, and professionals from Panama City to Pensacola.

Over the past three years, Wes has partnered in events with the Greater FWB Chamber of Commerce and raised over $17,000 for One Hopeful Place, and over $10,000 for Homes for Heroes, the Fort Walton Beach Kiwanis Club, Children in Crisis and Special Olympics Florida.

Wes Fell is member of all area chambers of commerce and some of his main issues are to stop the tolls on the Mid-Bay bridge, build the Destin Crosstown Connector, Support the Crab Island Merchants Association, and to turn the Emerald Convention Center into a private, for profit enterprise instead of a county subsidized cash liability.

Wes believes his extensive business background and association and work with the many great business and civic leaders in this community qualifies him to serve as a County Commissioner. Since the County Commission race is an AT LARGE race voted on by ALL REGISTERED VOTERS in Okaloosa County he looks forward to serving not only all Destin and Niceville residents, but instead as the District 5 County Commissioner he will be a public servant for ALL of the people of Okaloosa County.  To support Wes and his efforts to stop the tolls on the Mid-Bay Bridge go to www.Fell2020.com and sign the petition to get him on the ballot.
