Are you in awareness of your potential?

“Deep within you is the potential to do anything.  It only awaits your awareness.”

~Vironka Tugalua

What I love about the quote from Vironka Tugalua is that your potential is just that, yours.  Our potential does not need permission from someone else. It waits only for our self-awareness to grow. It is a life long journey we take with ourselves.  The journey may not always be easy, but it definitely enriches our soul if we allow it to grow.

While taking a 100-day mastermind class, one of the first questions asked of participants was, “Are you in awareness of your potential?”  First thought that came to mind was, wow, I have this! I did my little happy dance while sitting in my chair, because I finally realized I had traveled far in my personal and professional development. I then turned off the recording and started to really think and be intentional about my answer to the question.  To my surprise it was a lot harder than I thought.  The great thing is, instead of this stopping me it made me dig deeper.  It got me out of my surface dwelling, riding on my immediate successes.  That’s a good place for status quo but not so good for further growth.  To get past the comfort zone we need to really apply ourselves intentionally and realize if we don’t work on developing and enriching our potential nothing will get done. So, go get a piece of paper and a pencil, and let’s get started now.

First order of the day is your personal time. Personal time is just that, it is personal and needs to be defined and boundaries need to be established.  Look through your day where can you set aside 5, 10 or 15 minutes a day to work on you.  Buy an inexpensive paper calendar, set a time in your day you can be consistent with your development, and be ready mentally to put yourself first. Know yourself by identifying your strengths and weaknesses and the activities you really enjoy doing.  Dedicating time for yourself to fulfill and renew you.  This will keep you in your highest frequency and enable you to be your best self to manage your personal and career goals.

So many of us live in eternal illusion.  We spend our money, time, and energy on owning expensive things we hope will bring us happiness.  Some of us start Monday thinking about Friday and drinking our way through the weekend.  We let our emotions go to extremes on trivial perceived insults, facts that are not fact, and chasing our perception of what we should feel. What would happen if we put that energy and resource into self-awareness instead?  Letting it light up our universe by exposing the veil of illusion so we can plainly see past deceptions, blind desires, and falsehoods?

Awareness is gravity and clarity as opposed to intoxication by emotions and fears.

Awareness is the desire to learn and share with others.  Listening instead of speaking to reach full growth for yourself and the people you share your journey with. Awareness is something you develop over life. The purpose is to then use it to meet your full potential as only you have been created to do.
