“Millions of us have been trained to think within a mold, but life is not a mold, but a sea, and only those who know how to swim against any current succeed,” says the expert.

In anticipation of the New Year 2025, author and speaker Lisbeth FG encourages people to change the mental patterns that stagnate them without even realizing it.

“We spend our lives being programmed by our family, friends, colleagues, systems, collective opinions, customs, but, as we have our own life experiences, it is inevitable to question whether the programming we have received is correct,” explains the leadership and mentoring expert.

However, he adds, irrationally detaching ourselves from everything that life, tradition, and family have taught us is wrong.

“I am an example of what it means to use cultural and religious motives to force something. I am not the only one who was programmed this way. Millions of us have been trained to think within a mold, but life is not a mold, but a sea, and “Only those who know how to swim against any current succeed,” he says.

For this reason, in the face of the new year, Lisbeth FG invites us to reflect on the following statements, which “will help us find direction and check whether the motives that make up our mental scheme are healthy or not”:

  1. Don’t force a marriage just to have your partner “tied” to you. Don’t feel forced to go to the altar either, just because the church or your family wants to see you married. Marriage will not automatically give you a marriage, nor will it will ensure the durability of the relationship. Any attempt to force the union to please your ego or third parties will eventually make you feel very frustrated.
  2. Do not criticize or ridicule others, as this only reveals your inner faults. Many times we make others feel bad because there is something wrong within ourselves. There are men who constantly attack women who do not cover their bodies with from head to toe, not realizing that this only reveals their own lasciviousness. Just as there are women who make others feel bad if they gain or lose weight. Deep down, they do it because they do not have enough self-esteem to accept their physique. Instead of falling for it, constantly in these practices, try to use them as a mirror. Every time you think about ridiculing someone, look for the root of the feeling that is triggering discomfort in you, and work on it.
  3. Don’t take advantage of the success of others to gain status and recognition. We all have a different design, and sometimes the more unique your design is, the harder it is to reach your top. But be assured that if you are doing the work, your time will come.
  4. Don’t form a relationship just to prove to people that you are not the “bachelor” of the group. Instead, make your relationship with yourself as attractive as that of the best power-couple. If you focus on your integral growth, in achieving your goals and accepting new opportunities, people will see that your life is so complete that it doesn’t need anyone else to fill it. The person who comes will be a complement, not a filler.
  5. Do not use God’s name to promote a personal worldview. God’s nature transcends many beliefs, traditions, and even ideologies. His essence is love, and his dealings are personal with each of us. Sometimes, the God of love is a personal thing. We were taught that the God He really is is not the God He really is. Establish a personal connection with Him by inviting Him to be part of every plan you have for your life in 2025, and you will see how your life will change in every aspect.

“We can maintain a healthy mindset if we analyze the reasons behind any decision. The reasons have more weight than the action itself, because the action is neutral, but the reasons are not. The reasons carry energy, whether pure or contaminated. And although the “Even if the action itself is ‘correct’, if the motive behind the action is incorrect, everything will end in chaos,” Lisbeth FG clarified.

For the coach and writer, spirituality is an integral part of her life, as everything she does is related to her faith, directly or indirectly. “My relationship with God has gone beyond the religious mold and the role it plays in my life.” Currently in my life it is full, healthy and transcendental,” he says.

Its main message is one of personal transformation and spiritual growth through true knowledge of God, and inspiring people to make changes from the outside (how they look) to the inside (who they are and how they project themselves).

Lisbeth studied Interior Design at the University of Miami and Theology at the New Orleans Baptist Seminary. She has directed projects for companies such as Christian Dior, Bottega Veneta, Disney, Starbucks, Mango, Puma and Macy’s, among many others. She is the author of the book “The Hidden Side of Transformation”.
