Mission Trip to Las Anonas. Teculutan Zacapa, Guatemala

By Miriam Ramos

GUATEMALA2We live in a world full of wonder and full of need.  As human beings, we have physical needs, emotional needs, and most importantly, spiritual needs.  For this reason, six people from Primera Iglesia Bautista Hispana de Tallahassee are taking a week in, from March 28 to April 2nd, to minister to the people of Guatemala.  The team will travel to Las Anonas, Teculutan Zacapa, Guatemala, where they will host a medical clinic, provide children’s activities, and take time to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

GUATEMALA1“It is a wonderful opportunity to minister to the people of Las Anonas” said Miriam Ramos, one of the team members.  “Guatemala is my home country and reuniting with the people there is a real blessing”.  Sharing the message of Christ is the main theme of the Grand Commission in the Bible.  The Guatemala mission trip is one of several mission opportunities at Primera Iglesia Bautista Hispana de Tallahassee.  With members from over 10 Spanish speaking countries, including Guatemala, the church is active both in the local community and around the world.

GUATEMALA3Not everyone is able to travel to another country on a mission trip, but there are always opportunities to serve in some capacity.  For example, the team is in need of more medications for the trip. We need to purchase medicines ranging from antibiotics to vitamins. If anyone feels led to provide financial assistance to the team for medicines or travel expenses, donations are welcome.  For more information, contact Miriam Ramos at [email protected].  Photos from the mission trip to Guatemala last year can be seen on the website at Primera Iglesia Bautista Hispana de Tallahassee.  The web address is iglesiatallahassee.org.
