Children in Crisis Thanks Coins for a Cause

Children in Crisis presented a “thank you” to Destin Commons for their recent $10,000 donation to Children in Crisis from their “Coins for a Cause” program.  All parking meter payments collected at Destin Commons are donated to community charities by this charitable giving program.  CIC will use the donation to feed, clothe and provide a home to the children living at the CIC Neighborhood.

Ken Hair, CIC President & CEO commented, “We have built six family foster homes since 2008 and now our challenge is to sustain operations of the CIC Neighborhood.  This donation goes a long way in helping us give a home to over 100 children every year.  Thanks!”

Children in Crisis, Inc. is a non-profit, 501,(c)(3) charity of caring people from the community.  The CIC Children’s Neighborhood gives a home to the abused, neglected and abandoned children from Northwest Florida.  The Children’s Neighborhood has an emergency shelter home, family foster homes, a neighborhood center, a recreation center and a pavilion.  To learn more about CIC call 850-864-4242 or childrenincrisisfl.org.
