United for a Good Cause Inc. recently donated a total of $5,000 that will help families affected by last year’s Hurricane Michael. They donated $4,000 to Jinks Middle School in Panama City and $1,000 to Food For Thought Outreach’s back pack program. The donation was made possible by a $5,000 grant that U4aGC was awarded by the NY Life Foundation to support the organization’s efforts to help the community, and especially the youth, affected by Hurricane Michael.
U U4aGC Treasurer, Michael Gayles, presented a $1,000 check donation to Tiffanie Nelson (on Michael’s right), Founder & CEO of Food For Thought Outreach and Dinelle Putman, Program Director.
Jinks Middle School’s acting principal, Ms. Martin, is presented a check for $4,000 for their new comer program by Michael Gayles, treasurer of United for a Good Cause, and Dr. Gerardo Discepolo of NY Life.
Food for Thought Outreach serves almost 2,000 children regularly via their Backpack program including many children whose families relocated to Okaloosa County due to the hurricane. If you are interested in helping them or volunteering, go to: https://fftfl.org/
