Okaloosa County Athletes Compete at USA Games

More than 39,000 fans welcomed 4,000 athletes and coaches to Seattle at the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games Opening Ceremony at Husky Stadium!

Among the athletes were Jacob Luttrell, of Shalimar and Harrison Mauldin of Crestview, the two representatives from Okaloosa County, and part of the 129-athlete contingent representing Florida.

Jacob will compete in Golf and Harrison in Track and Field.

Pamela Sparks, Okaloosa County Director for Special Olympics, Florida stated via e-mail, “I couldn’t be prouder of our two Okaloosa County athletes advancing to the 2018 USA Games!”
