Father’s Love

My children, let’s not love by word or by language, but by fact and truthfully (1 John 3:18).

Who wouldn’t like to hear the voice of a father?

Who wouldn’t listen to the voice of a father advising lovingly and with deeds?

Let’s then be attentive to God’s voice from his Father’s position.

This time, He won’t talk as a judge, this time He won’t talk as Lord or King. This time, He will do it as a Father who speaks tenderly using the expression “little children” and in consequence, what He expects from us is immediate obedience.

How can He not conquer our hearts if He talks to us this way?

This is a matter of love!

Let’s take note that the Lord, after calling us “little children,” He makes a request from us where He includes Himself saying, “let’s not love by word nor by tongue…”

By speaking in plural, it is as if God is telling us: “I do it, so you all do it, too; follow my example.” It is like this that we can follow His example because He has demonstrated His love by delivering His son, Jesus Christ, on the cross to save all of us from our sins. Consequently, the Celestial Father has enough merits to justly request from us this fair petition: “dont love with words or language, but in facts and in truth.”

We call You Dad because You call us children,

And we say “Abba, Father” when we cry out.

Also, Jesus Christ cried out this prayer,

When in Getsemani, we delivered Him to die.

It is to get very close to Your heart,

When I call You this way so sweet and tender.

It is true You are my King, my Savior and Lord,

But just like a Father, You make me feel smaller.

It is for the love You have transferred to me

That I am able to do good deeds with everyone.

You have done it, Lord, with your enemies.

This has invited me to live the same way.

It is not an advise or a reccommendation,

It is an order to fulfill without reservations.
