The Essence of Conferences – Father’s Day and Yang

By Bohemian Babushka

Hola,Hola,Hola Beautifuls!

June has started, Father’s Day is approaching, and as promised, this second parte of my series “The Essence of Conferences” tells of the Yang, the masculine phases. Again Babushka asks you to open la mente as to the power and forces in conferences, in particular La Potencia that is Hispanicize.

In Chinese cosmology, the Yin is the feminine force, and combined with the masculine Yang make up all things. The Yin force, on a deep level, is what places values on others before self while the Yang force places value on self. The betterment of self, the focus on advancement, the belief in one’s ideals, vision and purpose. Exactamente the topics in the Hispz17 agenda.

“Now in its eighth year, Hispanicize 2017 Week is the largest annual event for Latino trendsetters and newsmakers in digital content creation, journalism, marketing, entertainment and tech entrepreneurship.” Having attended 6 of these conferences, BB can attest to the change in direction and addition of more areas in more topics. First, the basics- how to monetize one’s writings and how to encompass the Latino market in a business’s agenda. Sessions included “5 tips for monetizing your content” , “Financial Empowerment with the Latino Community” “Multicultural Marketing”.

And then the topics of politics and the urgent need for solidarity was added. This seemed to be Hispz17 vision and purpose. All very timely considering the country’s current political climate and it was very moving. From the excellent speakers Rev. Jesse Jackson and Journalist/Reporter Jose Diaz Balart to sessions such as  “The Moment of Truth: Where Latinos Are in 2017 and What We Must Do to Unite Now”. Naturally being in Miami, ¿Cuál es el futuro de las relaciones entre EEUU y Cuba en 2017? was discussed.

This go to, “gotta do it now”, ever moving and forceful ambiente is part of the corriente of this conferencia, bringing major sponsors and thousands of participants every year. The schedule http://hispanicizeevent.com/schedule/

So there you have it Beautifuls. Conferences have a force, y Babushka hopes you find the one you’re needing. Como el amor and ejemplo of a good father, may you find the strength and guidance these can bring.
