4 BUILDING BLOCKS FOR PERSONAL GROWTH

By Barbara Britt

Would you be surprised to know that your business is not your business it is the THINKING you bring to your business. In this article we will center on the first building block. Your Beliefs!

It is not possible for your business to outgrow your thinking. You must think improvement on Personal Growth level, you are the target. Your potential to grow does not exist outside of you-it exists in you. Not being conscious of our beliefs and knowing that they can and should be changed can sabotage everything you were meant to be.

Entrepreneurs will consciously develop priorities putting themselves above their business. They know they are the key to success. Conscious self-improvement every day is a process that will make the difference. Remember the world stops for no one. In order for your business to grow you must make conscious thinking a priority. The first step would be to develop your Self-Awareness. Jim Rohn stated “You must take responsibility for your character.” You are the epicenter of every result you achieve in life. Nothing is being done to you, all things are experiences that are created by you. Jim Rohn went on to say “You are constantly in the process of creation, the cause of every effect.” With this understanding comes the creation of a business from average to extraordinary.

One of the first draw backs to your thinking is most of what you create every day is 73%-92% unconscious.  Meaning we are a product of our habits not the creator of our successes. These are learned behaviors and we conduct most of our life on auto pilot, which takes the thought process completely out of the equation. That is why your personal growth and self-improvement are so vital. Think what is at risk if you conduct your life and business on what has always been done.

The second draw back comes by owning up to your accountability. There are no more victims, villains, government, and lawyers to blame. The only outcome is directly related to your thinking. Highly effective individuals realize life does not give you what you want but rather who you are.

“People are anxious to improve their circumstances but never willing to improve themselves, therefore they remain bound.” ~James Allen~

From birth we have lived with beliefs that we got from others or just devised for ourselves. Great news is that for most of our life we have put a higher value on IQ, believing that we could not go beyond its boundaries. On average your IQ accounts for just 6% of your entrepreneurial success today. Emotional Intelligence accounts for 27%-45% of your success. Remember your beliefs are the architect of the results you experience. Your self-awareness is what determines your success in life.

Get ready, study, give yourself time for thinking and creating you are worth it.
