The Okaloosa County Commission on the Status of Women is now accepting nominations for the 26th Annual OCCSW Women’s Hall of Fame.  If you know a deserving woman in Okaloosa County who has been outstanding in her contributions in the following categories, please consider nominating her.  Information can be found and nominations can be submitted at www.TheOCSW.org. Categories include:

CAROLYN SPENCER HUMANITARIAN INDUCTEE – A woman who has made significant contributions to the welfare of the human and/or animal populations of Okaloosa County.

CONTEMPORARY INDUCTEE – A woman who has made significant contributions to Okaloosa County within the past 10 years

PIONEER INDUCTEE – A woman who has been a trailblazer for women in Okaloosa County or has made significant contributions to the founding and/or growth of Okaloosa County.

EDUCATION INDUCTEE – A woman who has made great contribution-ns to the education field or received high recognition in Okaloosa County.  This is a woman who has gone over and above in her education career.

MILITARY INDUCTEE –  A woman who as a civilian has contributed greatly to our military community here or a woman who has had an exemplary career in the military showing great leadership during her service & is now a permanent resident of Okaloosa County.

BUSINESS LEADER INDUCTEE – This woman has grown a significant business in Okaloosa County, has contributed to the growth of women as entrepreneurs, climbed to the top of her career field or held a high leadership position in her company.

MATTIE KELLY CULTURAL ARTS INDUCTEE – This woman will have contributed significantly to the arts in Okaloosa County.

COMMUNITY SERVICE INDUCTEE – This woman has given extraordinary commitment and service to our Okaloosa County community.

POSTHUMOUS INDUCTEE – this woman can be from any of these categories who contributed greatly to women of Okaloosa County and is now deceased.

The deadline for online nominations is Monday, August 17th at 5:00 PM and the induction ceremony will be held on September the 29th.  Due to restrictions with COVID, only the recipient and 2 guests will be able to be in attendance, however, the event will be streamed live on Crestview TV’s Facebook page and shared on The OCCSW Facebook page.  For more information visit the website or call Peggy Brockman at 850-259-8356.
