  • Federal funds are available to the state, tribal and state governments; and certain private non-profit organizations, under the concept of cost-sharing for emergency work due to the impact of Hurricane Michael in Bay, Calhoun, Franklin, Gadsden, Gulf, Hamilton, Jackson, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Madison counties, Suwannee, Taylor and Wakulla.
  • Individuals and business owners who have suffered disaster losses may request disaster assistance by visiting www.DisasterAssistance.gov/es, or by calling 1-800-621-3362 or 1-800-462-7585 (TTY).  Representatives are available from 7 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. (local time), seven days a week until further notice.

  • FEMA and the State of Florida have activated the Transitional Sheltering Assistance (TSA) program for Hurricane Michael survivors in Bay, Gulf and Jackson counties. Survivors from these counties who registered for disaster assistance may be eligible to shelter in a hotel or motel paid for by FEMA.
