When I first moved to Okaloosa county one food I thought I would miss the most was Sushi. I have been eating sushi since my teenage years. Looking back, my love for sushi grew with my eagerness to grow up. We lived right next door to a sushi place in New York and most Friday nights during happy hour you would find me and my family there. Sushi was cheaper at happy hour and although I was not old enough to have sake, being at happy hour trying to eat with chopsticks made me feel grown up.

In reminiscence about sushi, family and togetherness I would like to introduce my readers to my favorite go to sushi place, Soi Bistro. I came across quaint little gem of a restaurant by chance and fell in love with it at first bite. Soi bistro is a small place located on Miracle Strip in Fort Walton Beach. One of the things I like about Soi Bistro is that they offer a unique and creative array of rolls for all taste types. Some of my favorite rolls are Jonesin and Cookie Monster. Their menu is simple to read and offer some cute colored symbols to help you choose you food. From their symbols one can see what are customer favorites, what items are spicy, vegetarian, and raw or have cream cheese.

If you are not into raw food no problem Soi Bistro has some cooked items in their menu. Whether you choose go for lunch or dinner Soi bistro offers some great menu items and if you choose lunch you can take advantage of the items on their lunch specials. Whether you want to dine in or take out, do lunch or dinner Soi Bistro is great local place if you want to experience some unique and creative food.

Stay safe & healthy. Until next time…
