Doug Ingram and Eddie Cowen of Coastal Accounting of Destin, presented a $5,000 donation as a Major Sponsor to Children in Crisis for the Sugar Sands Charity Golf Classic, Monday, Columbus Day, October 10, 2016.  This is the 9th Annual Charity Golf Classic played at Kelly Plantation and 100 percent of the proceeds will help feed, clothe and care for the children living and the CIC Children’s Neighborhood.

The prestigious tournament was established by Tommy Bahama Tropical Cafe in 2008 to raise vital funds to help the Kids living at the CIC Neighborhood.  CIC has managed the tournament since 2012 and it has become one of the premier tournaments in the area.

According to Ken Hair, CIC President and CEO, “We opened the Children’s Neighborhood in 2008 and since then we’ve provided a home to over 650 Kids.  We continue to have a critical need for funds to help sustain operations and care for the at-risk children of our community.”

Golf Participants will enjoy a registration party at Tommy Bahama Tropical Cafe on Sunday evening, October 9th and on the 10th, golf at Kelly Plantation with lunch prior to play, refreshments and snacks on the course, and a full Italian family-style meal at Tuscan Italian Café after golf.  There will also be hole-in-one prizes, golf prizes for the top 3 foursomes, a Tommy Bahama shirt voucher, door prizes, and much more!  Please call the CIC office, 864-4242 for information or to enter a team.

CIC is a 501, (c), (3) non-profit community charity of caring people providing homes and establishing hope to the abused, neglected and abandoned children of our community.  Together we can make a difference in the life of a child.  To learn more about CIC, visit www.childrenincrisisfl.org.
