“We are very grateful to AT&T for its partnership and support, volunteering and donations, and especially this latest generous contribution,” said Prospera President and CEO Augusto Sanabria. “We help Hispanic entrepreneurs throughout the year, but this pandemic has increased the need and demand for our services. Every small business we help recover means more financial and labor stability, which in turn leads to stronger homes and greater prosperity. We will continue to focus our resources and expertise on helping small business owners overcome the great challenges they face.”
AT&T has supported Prospera’s mission for several years and has sponsored its annual events. This last $100,000 donation makes AT&T a member of the Prospera Investor Circle. Believe Miami funds will be used to serve and train more local entrepreneurs to help them overcome challenges and strengthen their small businesses.
“Small businesses are at the heart of the U.S. economy, able to transform our communities with the goods and services they provide to local residents,” said AT&T Florida President Joe York. “But the challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic are making it difficult for many to implement these vital efforts. For minority companies, the challenges are even greater, so we are pleased to support Prospera’s effort to empower Hispanic entrepreneurs and help them start and grow their businesses.”
“In these difficult times, Small Businesses in Miami need to take advantage of the transformative impact of the entities we work together to survive, sustain, and thrive,” said Myrna Sonora, Vice President of Prospera in South Florida. “AT&T recognized the need and accepted responsibility. This award demonstrates your commitment to our collective future.”
