A Fiesta for 1,000!

A Fiesta for 1,000!

“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is – What are you doing for others?”

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The words of a great man, MLK Jr., are words that everyone should be asking themselves.  As human beings, for the most part, we have a tendency to only think about ourselves.  This is a prevalent approach to life for what appears to be a growing number of people in our great nation.

Our nation appears to be more and more divided, people seem to be more materialistic and selfish than they we have been in our nation’s history.

United for a Good Cause Inc., and its leadership, members and supporters, aim to instill in our area’s youth, the importance of serving, giving and working in unity to benefit the beautiful region of Florida that we live in.

One primary way we have been doing that is through our signature event, the Annual “Emerald Coast Christmas Miracle” Needy Children’s Fiesta.  Indeed, it is a Fiesta for a 1,000….or more!

It is a great thing to live in this beautiful area, where tourists pay thousands of dollars to stay in our beautiful hotels, enjoy our emerald waters, our white sand beaches and all that our area has to offer.  But, one thing that this area also excels in is the generosity of its business community, its people and the countless numbers of people that volunteer in the charity activities that take place throughout the year.

The Christmas Miracle Fiesta’s primary purpose is to give everyone that attends, especially the kids, the opportunity to just have a great time, we try to ensure that as many kids as we can possibly host, will get to have a CHRISTMAS!  That is the bottom line.  Hope, Charity…Love, three of the greatest thing a person can give to another.  That is the “why we do it.”

The Emerald Coast Christmas Miracle was inspired by “Ramon’s Miracle on 31st Street” in Tucson, Arizona, an event that last year hosted over 10,000 children to a Fiesta with the same concept as ours. In turn, Ramon’s Miracle and our Emerald Coast Miracle, last year inspired “The Christmas Miracle in Puriscal,” a town outside of San Jose, Costa Rica!

There are thousands of needy children in our area, countless families who just do not have the means to give their children gifts during Christmas.  One thing is for sure, United for a Good Cause Inc., its leadership, supporters and volunteers, cannot do this on our own…so, we invite everyone that will read this, everyone that will see our flyers, our print media and social media publicity to help us, so that TOGETHER, in UNITY, we can “put a smile on a needy child’s face this Christmas!”

May God bless you and may you have a MERRY, MERRY, VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!
