Fort Walton Beach – 13 June: 8TH Annual Latin Salsa Festival
Hundreds gathered at the one day event to celebrate the food, music and traditions from the Caribbean Island of Puerto Rico. They were joined by many local and regional residents from Latin America, together, as one big family.
Festival goers were treated to great musical talents thanks to Breeze Entertainment LLC. The entertainment included: La Morenita Del Swing, Julio Iglesias “Latin Sound”, Pietri El Fantastico, Ricky Luis y muchos más. The Tallahassee based, Puerto Rican folkloric dancing troupe “Renacer Borincano” delighted the crowd with traditional Bombas y Plenas to close the one day festivity.
All ages were able to enjoy a pleasant day and atmosphere while eating a variety of delicious Caribbean food. In addition, local and national nonprofit organizations such as the Bone Marrow Foundation’s “Be the Match” program and the Panhandle Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) also participated.
